Claire Fellin, sophomore, feels that the tennis team helps expand her horizon at Homestead. “I think tennis has really helped me,” Fellin said. Being a part of a team and meeting new people has been great. The inspiration for tennis stems from her dad’s love of the game, Fellin said. She explained that her dad has been a great role model for her throughout her life. “I think my dad has really shown me that hard work pays off, and in order to achieve things, you need to put your best effort in,” Fellin said. She added that he really expresses this mindset through tennis; he has taught her, “you can’t always win easily. You need to practice a lot.” Throughout the rest of her years at Homestead, Fellin looks forward to continuing her time on the tennis team and creating so many new friendships.
