Thais Marques, a senior, has had an unique life as an immigrant from Brazil. She has lived in Sao Paulo, Brazil for nine years until her parents received a life-changing opportunity to move to Florida. Like most other nine-year-olds, Thais was very skeptical as well as scared of starting a life on another continent with a language she did not know at the time. Now, after seven and a half years as an American, much has changed, including her transition to Wisconsin. Her biggest goal as a member of the Publications team is to one day become an investigative journalist.
